About PRP Therapy

PRP Therapy works by obtaining growth factors from the blood. Human blood contains red cells, white cells, platelets and other blood products. The platelets contain eight growth factors, some which simulate the hair follicle. Currently, the technique of platelet rich plasma production is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Dr. Rapaport is part of the clinical trial team that is currently underway to attempt to get a FDA approval for the indication of using PRP for hair loss.

A Breakthrough for Hair Loss! PGD2 and Natural Ways to Regrow Your Hair

In 2012, the dermatology departments of the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University generated a lot of buzz around a potential "miracle cure" for baldness. The big discovery?
