New product stimulates hair growth, restores natural hair color

Hair tends to change as we age. This could result to hair loss, hair thinning or hair gradually turning gray.

Gray hair is known to first appear during one's 30s, and half of the people in their 50s have 50-percent gray hair. This makes you appear older than your actual age.  Because of this, some dye their hair for aesthetic purposes. Hair colorants, though, bring about skin irritation, allergic reaction and hair breakage.

Fear, stress and other emotions may determine how our hair will look. Stress could make us lose our crowning glory. There is also the case of premature gray hair.

According to well-known dermatologist Jeffrey Benabio, premature hair graying is nothing but a process where the pigment is not being made from the cells which produce color.

Reasons

Several reasons are attributed to premature gray hair.

  • Genetic. The child (offspring) is more prone to have gray hair earlier in life if his/her parent has gray hair in the early stages. Our hair turns gray if there is an overload of melanin and hydrogen peroxide is found in our body genetically.
  • Deficiency of vitamins and minerals that affects the hair color. Vitamin B12, zinc and copper are responsible for the proper nourishment of hair that helps metabolic processes involved in giving hair its natural color. Lack of Vitamin C and E normally turns the hair into gray.
  • Smoking. It is the source of development of free radicals in the body. These free radicals cause oxidative stress in the body, leading to decrease in the pigmenting capacity of melanin and resulting in graying of hair.
  • Eating junk and processed food. This speeds up aging by increasing the oxidative stress and deposition of advanced glycation end products which accelerates aging and results in loss of hair color.
  • Direct exposure to sunlight.
  • Melanocytes—cells that are naturally produced by our body—emit melanin to provide its natural color. As we age, melanin production slows and we may suffer from gray hair.

In fact, 50 percent of women have at least a head full of gray hair by the time they are 50. Due to genetic makeup, gray hair tends to be drier and more fragile as our age continues to progress. Increasing our melanin production will help restore hair color and vitality.

    Hair treatment serum

Dermpharma Research has formulated a hair treatment serum, called Grey Away, that not only stimulates hair regrowth but also specifically targets the restoration of hair pigment or color, reversing the gray hair process.

Grey Away brings back the natural color of hair strands of people with graying hair. It also prevents their hair from turning gray without the risk of the harmful effects of colorants.

The polypeptide Melitane in Grey Away stimulates melanin production, reversing the gray hair process. Grey Away's EMortal Pep, a four amino acid polypeptide, promotes hair growth. It is the specific material for boosting hair and scalp health thar activates the stem cells in the hair follicles.

A Breakthrough for Hair Loss! PGD2 and Natural Ways to Regrow Your Hair

In 2012, the dermatology departments of the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University generated a lot of buzz around a potential "miracle cure" for baldness. The big discovery? A relationship between prostaglandin D2 (a fatty acid derivative) and male pattern baldness, and hair loss in women. The researchers demonstrated, for the first time in humans, that a lipid derivative called prostaglandin D2 was elevated in balding areas – but not in hair-bearing areas – of men with hair loss. More importantly, they also discovered that prostaglandin D2 inhibits hair lengthening. The more prostaglandin D2 present, the shorter a hair grows. The team suggested that by maybe inhibiting prostaglandin D2 in the scalp, hair loss might be stopped. And that got a lot of hair loss sufferers (and pharmaceutical companies) excited. Prostaglandin-D2 inhibitors were already in trials as a treatment for asthma. It wouldn't be hard to develop a topical for men&#
